Chitral gol national park

Chitral GOL National Park is located in the Chitral District and is a valley with this gorge that broadens out into a wide basin surrounded by mountains. The lush green park has three valley and numerous glaciers, which eventually take the form of a stream. Visitors can enjoy the facility of two hunting lodges that were made by the local kings there.  You can also camp and trek there.

Apart from being rich in trees, Markhor goat is the most famous highlight of the park, with an estimated population of 650. Black bear, Ladak Urial (shapu), and Siberian Ibex are also found in the national park. Snow leopards there are given the status of threatened species since the year 1974 and are conserved with extreme care by the Government of Pakistan.
