Khaplu, also called "Little Tibet," is a small town in the District Ghanche, of Gilgit Baltistan. This town lies at a distance of 103-kilo meters in the East from the town of Skardu, and it is two hours jeep from there. Khaplu is known as a must-visit place when you are in Gilgit, Baltistan, for a vacation.

This small town was the second-largest kingdom in Old Baltistan of the Yabgo Dynasty. It guards the route that is used for trade between Ladakh and Shyok River.
